Strategic Initiatives Advisor at Qatar Foundation

Ouassim Alami is a Strategic Initiatives Advisor at Qatar Foundation with over 20 years of experience leading more than 40 sustainability and innovation projects. He currently oversees the implementation of Park & Plant—QF’s flagship forestation initiative turning Education City into the “lungs of Qatar”—and the construction of Green Island, the country’s first community-focused recycling hub. Over the past three years, he has developed CSR-driven environmental programs that have engaged over 20 national and international companies in carbon offsetting and ecosystem regeneration. Previously, he played a key role in shaping the Education City Smart City framework and contributed to major developments including the Education City Stadium and Tram. Alami holds a Master’s in Design Management from École Supérieure de Design Industriel – CREAPOLE (France) and a Master’s in International Finance from Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II.
