Hatoun manages the Healthy Cities programme in Qatar and the health promotion pillar of the Sport and Health project, the tripartite agreement between the State of Qatar, WHO and FIFA to deliver a Healthy and Safe World Cup 2022. She works in the Health in All Policies unit of the Ministry of Public Health, which aims to promote intersectoral collaboration and in turn create healthier communities. Hatoun has 17 years of experience in the humanitarian, development and healthcare fields, with international and national organizations, predominantly in the Middle East and East Africa. She is specialized in communication and stakeholder engagement, strategy development and programme management.
