Mr. Hamdan Merchant is currently working as a Chief Operating officer for NBOX logistics, an
organization that is focused on supporting the logistical needs for e-commerce companies in GCC
along with an advisor for an Augmented Reality and Digital twin organization in Qatar. Prior to this he
was the Senior Director for Innovation, Technology, Consulting and Operational Excellence for GWC
logistics. GWC is the leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions in state of Qatar.

During his tenure in GWC for over 9 years, Mr. Merchant had worked to imbed a culture of continuous
improvement throughout the company, emphasizing the values of Lean Six Sigma. In GWC he was
responsible for developing and implementing Corporate Strategy, Innovation, Process Excellence and
Corporate IT. He has over 18 years of experience working with various industries such as retail,
manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing across the world. He has lived and worked in USA, UAE,
Qatar and India. He earned his MBA from Emory University’s, Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, along with a master’s degree in supply chain management from Syracuse University, NY and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Sensei and innovation 360 licensed Practitioner. In addition to this he has been awarded the best CIO award for two years in a row-2023 and 2024 in Qatar, authored numerous articles on innovation in magazines and is a regular keynote speaker in industry events related to technology, logistics etc.
