Dr. Omar Sakr

Dr. Omar Sakr is the founder and CEO of Nawah-Scientific, the Middle East’s biggest private research center, working as an outsourcing destination for research in natural and biomedical sciences. He is a pharmacist by education and holds a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from the University of Geneva and an MBA from HULT Business School in London. His career extends over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field in academia and industry. His workplaces include Egypt, Switzerland, and Germany. Omar’s research focuses on nanotech applications for the controlled delivery of small molecules and biological drugs. He authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters published in top journals. Dr. Sakr is also an adjunct entrepreneurship lecturer at Zewail City of Science and Technology. To his name, Omar holds several scientific and business awards, among which is the prestigious Jack Ma Award, Africa Business Heroes (2019).
