Dr. Allan Villegas

Dr. Allan Villegas is an academic, serial entrepreneur and angel investor. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in entrepreneurship and innovation from the EGADE Business School of the Technological Institute of Monterrey in Mexico. He also is graduated from the Bachelor program in Business Creation and Development from the same institute. As academic he works for HEC Paris in Qatar and is author of the book “Qatar’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem – Edition 2021: Empowering the Transformation” and has published in peer-reviewed journals. As an entrepreneur, his first venture was incubated by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship of Mexico which granted him a seed investment (1M QAR) in 2013 and today he remains as president of the board. After that entrepreneurial experience he has co-founded several companies in technology, manufacture and retail sectors. More recently, he started his journey as angel investor currently with a portfolio of four startups, and Allan has been active mentor at different incubators and accelerators around the world since 2015.
