Dr. Burcu Ozdemir graduated from ITU-Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning in 2008. She completed the ITU Institute of Science and Technology City Planning Doctorate Program in 2017. Since 2018, she has been giving postgraduate lectures at the Department of Applied Informatics at Istanbul Technical University. Since 28.04.2020, she has been appointed as the Director of Smart City Department at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.​

Dr. Burcu Ozdemir has been coming together with entrepreneurs, startups and students many times in interviews, panels and talks both in local and global. She was also one of the jury members in programs, events, webinars, hackathons and ideathons.
