Hassan Al Ibrahim

Hassan Al Ibrahim is an accomplished leader who has been the Managing Director of The Local Context Consulting Services since October 2023. With a rich blend of education and professional experience, Hassan brings unparalleled expertise to the tourism and hospitality sectors.

He is on track to complete a Doctorate in Business Administration from the prestigious Warwick Business School by 2025. Prior to this, he earned an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in 2016, an MSc in Management of Projects from the University of Manchester in 2009, and a BEng (Hons) in Computer Engineering from the University of Portsmouth in 2006.

In his career, Hassan has held numerous influential roles, including Government Development Executive at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Deputy Chairman of the Qatar Government Excellence Program, where he championed initiatives to modernize government services and spearheaded the development of the Qatar government excellence framework.

At the Qatar National Tourism Council, he played a pivotal role as Assistant Secretary General, overseeing the transition from the Qatar Tourism Authority. As Acting Chairman and Chief Tourism Development Officer at the Qatar Tourism Authority, he significantly expanded the organization’s global presence and developed the Qatar National Tourism Sector Strategy 2017 – 2022.

Hassan’s tenure as Director of Strategy at QTA saw the implementation of the Qatar National Tourism Sector Strategy 2030. He has also co-founded and led FIKRA Policy and Research, advancing insightful policy research across Qatar and the MENA region. Earlier in his career, he honed his skills at Ras Gas Company Limited in roles including Senior Marketer and System Analyst.

Beyond his primary roles, Hassan actively contributes to various boards and committees. He is a Board Member of Asaal International Investment and Al-Hosn Investment Company S.A.O.C, among others, and has previously served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Business Events Company.
