1st Cohort
The TASMU Accelerator focuses on fostering growth-stage start-ups that stand out through their dynamic balance-of-team expertise and innovative offerings within Qatar's priority sectors.
The program is open to innovations from Qatar and around the world. Start-ups should showcase proven technical viability and market responsiveness through tangible traction, such as pilots or sales, and be poised to make significant inroads into substantial markets.
For 2023 cohort, the program focused on 3 primary sectors: Health, Environment, and Logistics. Each track was led and supported by a global company, the Track Champion. Our Track Champions for 2023 were: Ooredoo, Microsoft and Ericsson.
Throughout 6-months, TASMU Accelerator empowered 25 startups to:

- Tackle challenges proposed by key accelerator stakeholders, the Tracks Champions, in return of monetary & in-kind rewards to increase their success rates
- Access the needed resources of knowledge bases, market players, challenge stakeholders, skills, talents, and tools to maximize their growth and success potential in Qatar
- Gain direct access to the Qatari market and relevant stakeholders through the TASMU Accelerator's Piloting Partners, Track Champions, and Sector Custodians

TASMU Accelerator Timeline
Registration open for startups nationally and internationally to apply and take part of TASMU Accelerator with focus on three primary sectors, health, environment, and logistics
Assess and interview all startups to select top 40 to join the pre-acceleration phase
Start-ups strategize and build proposals to present to the track champions, showcasing how they can contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions in their selected sectors
25 shortlisted startups to be enrolled in the acceleration program where the focus will be on maximizing their growth potential, generating traction, and developing innovative use cases based on selected sectors
A support program designed to build on the momentum of the program’s success and accelerate the growth of startups and facilitate their soft landing in Qatar

Who Should Apply?
For 2023 cohort the program focused on three primary sectors out of its five. TASMU Accelerator invites early-stage startups in the environment, health, and logistics industries to take part in its journey. Startups need to have:
- Technology focus
- Address challenges in one or more of the focus industries
- Legal registration (in Qatar or countries of origin)
- Technical and business team members onboarded
- Technologically feasible and functional prototype
- Proven traction in their target markets whether through piloting or revenue generation
- Large addressable market!
